Players Taking a Knee Will Be Fined, as NFL Changes Rules
According to new NFL policies, players will be fined if they take a knee to protest social injustice.
In an effort to prevent N.F.L players from protesting racial injustices, N.F.L. players will be allowed to stay in the locker room during the national anthem. If players decide to kneel their teams will be fined by the league if they go onto the field and kneel.
Last fall president Donald Trump demanded that the NFL change its policies to prohibit these kinds of displays despite the laws in place in this country to allow such behavior. NFL owners call the change of rules a “compromise.” In the past players were required to be on the field for the singing of the National Anthem.

Many players have stated that they will still kneel and get fined. Unfortunately layers like Collin Kaepernick and Andy Reid are free agents and pursuing collusion grievances. All we can do is wait and see how this story unfolds in the fall.
