Jamie Foxx from ‘Spider-man’ to ‘Spawn’

None other than Jamie Foxx will play the iconic comic book character #Spawn. If you didn’t know, Spawn was also known as a CIA agent Al Simmons, but was left for dead, sent to hell, and received a second chance with some awesome powers. These powers consist of teleportation, shape shifting, and healing.

Jamie Foxx isn’t new to the superhero stage though. He played #Electro in #TheAmazingSpiderman2 and ever since playing this role; he has always wanted to play other superheroes such as Spawn.

A few years ago in Arizona Jamie Foxx met up with the man behind this genius comic, Todd McFarland. Jamie Foxx even told Deadline that Todd McFarland created the most incredible comic book character in the universe. Jamie Foxx expressed how McFarland was shocked to find out that Jamie wanted to play this character ever since he was a younger boy and how no one would work harder than him if given a chance.
McFarland says that he’s ”mentally exhausted from origin stories.”, so his Blumhouse adaption of Spawn will not be an origin story.
