YouTube Under Fire for Anti-Gay Ads
People are not happy about it, to say the least.
YouTube has been called out for adding anti-gay advertisements on LGBT video content creators.
Recently, several YouTubers and subscribers have taken to social media to discuss the pre-run ads on the videos that have been advertised as “Christian” anti-gay videos.
On Thursday, Gaby Dunn asked her fans whether they had seen these ads on her videos, after being alerted by some viewers. Multiple people responded, sending screenshots and information her way.

These adverts range from radically conservative rants to political messages in support of the anti-LGBT legislation.
One subscriber told YouTuber Chase Ross, that his video, “Five Years Post-Op Emotional Transition,” showed an advertisement from an account called Ask Dr. Brown in a video titled, “Can You Be Gay and Christian?” about “sinful desires” which included same-sex attraction.
It is the official start to Pride Month, yet celebrations on YouTube are laced with upset members of the LGBTQ community. Among these people are Ash Hardell, and Shannon Taylor who expressed their disbelief on Twitter.
