Reese Witherspoon is Bringing Back Elle Woods for ‘Legally Blonde 3’
That’s right, your favorite spunky and fashionable character, Elle Woods, could be coming your way as Reese Witherspoon works on Legally Blonde 3.
It has been almost 20 years since the amazing Elle Woods, played by Witherspoon, has taught us how to “Bend and Snap,” but more importantly, that you are a strong woman that can do anything you put your mind to. It looks like Elle could be making a return if all goes well in Witherspoon’s deal.
While there isn’t much to go off of plot-wise, we do know that MGM is close to sealing the deal with Kirsten Smith and Karen McCullah, the same people who wrote the adapted script for the first Legally Blonde. This film would focus on female empowerment, which is fitting in today’s culture with movements like #MeToo, women’s marches, and so many other ways women’s voice are being heard.
Witherspoon would also be producing Legally Blonde 3 through her production company, Hello Sunshine, along with producers Marc Platt and Adam Siegel of Platt Productions.
Whatever happens, we just hope that Elle flaunts her signature style of pink outfits and standing up for what’s right.
