It has been two years since the Orlando nightclub shooting on June 12, 2016, and the LGBTQ+ community, friends, and family remember the lives that were lost in this terrible attack.

The night of the shooting, forty-nine people were killed and fifty-three people were wounded in what was called a terrorist attack inside the Orlando, Florida nightclub, Pulse. Pulse was and still known to be one of the popular gay nightclubs in the Orlando area. This shooting was said to be the second-deadliest mass shootings in the United States history before the shooting in Las Vegas last year.

People on Twitter shared their thoughts and remembrances of the those affected by the mass shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando using the hashtag #OrlandoStrong.

We will take a moment to remember the lives that were taken away the night of this mass shooting, especially during this Pride month season.
