Laurie Hernandez Graduates High School
Con-GRAD-ulations to Laurie Hernandez.
18-year-old Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez has just graduated high school. Although she was homeschooled, she walked in the graduation ceremony with Old Bridge High School alongside her class of 2018 peers.
To those who made spiteful comments, Hernandez said via Twitter,
Ok look-
A) I would’ve gone to OBHS if I wasn’t homeschooled.
B) You act like I just completely skipped high school. You do know know that i had to do school throughout my gymnastics career/DWTS right?
C) I was literally born/raised/still in old bridge ! Chill https://t.co/NX5hXdRYk7— Laurie Hernandez (@lzhernandez02) June 26, 2018
She knows how to set the facts straight. Hernandez is certainly beyond talented, being awarded both Gold and Silver medals at the 2016 Olympics, winning on Dancing with the Stars and being a Nike sponsored athlete all before graduating.
Laurie looks happy and radiant in her post, captioning “I did the thing #Classof2018 #IDontEvenGoHere…” on Instagram. Check out her post below.
