Rosalía Is a Catalan Singer on the Rise
Rosalía is taking flamenco to a new level.
Rosalía is a 24-year-old Barcelona-born artist on the rise. She is a flamenco artist, meaning she implements folkloric Southern Spanish music in a modern way. Flamenco is typically a mix of guitar, song, and dance.
She has come out with a new album titled Los ángeles to bring out traditional flamenco elements with modern pop and acoustic influences.
While most of her songs are not in English, the exception being a cover of “I See a Darkness,” her unique and zesty style can be appreciated by any audience.
