Jeremy Allen White to Star in Upcoming Rom-Com ‘After Everything’
This one is bound to be a tearjerker.
Jeremy Allen White—we know him (and love him) as Lip Gallagher on Showtime’s Shameless. For the past eight seasons, White has portrayed the rugged, tough-skinned, diamond-in-the-rough, raised in the poverty-stricken South Side of Chicago, Lip Gallagher. However, this fall, the star will be bringing an entirely different character to the big screen.
In the film, White stars as Elliot, a carefree New-Yorker who crosses paths with the sensible Mia, portrayed by Hot Summer Nights actress, Maika Monroe. Just as the relationship between the young lovebirds’ begins to blossom, Elliot receives a life-changing diagnosis. Amidst the chaos, the new couple soon learns the weight of Elliot’s illness is almost as tough as navigating the daily complications of young love.
If you shed a few tears while watching A Walk to Remember or The Fault in Our Stars, you might want to grab a box of tissues for when this beautiful love story hits theaters. After Everything, written and directed by Hannah Marks, is set to be released on October 12.
