Actress Lyric Ross Joins ‘This is Us’ Family as Series Regular

Actress Lyric Ross, who plays the role of Deja on NBC’s This is Us, will return to Season 3 as a series regular.

The first two seasons of This is Us constantly had us running out of tissues and it’s unlikely that Season 3 is will be any different, especially with newcomer Lyric Ross coming on board as a regular. Season 2 ended with Deja beating the Pearsons’ car with a bat, not long after Toby and Kate’s wedding. Despite the emotional reveal of Jack’s death, we still wonder how the triplets’ stories will unfold.

Maybe the addition of Ross means the storyline will focus more on the future, rather than the past. Maybe the show is looking to take a turn for the more hopeful instead of hopeless. Maybe she’s the answer to how this family can recover from its heartache. Who knows?
