Panic! At The Disco Releases ‘High Hopes’ Music Video
The music video for High Hopes, the second single from Panic At The Disco’s latest album, was released on August 27th, 2018.
The music video has rapidly trended in popularity and views up to number two on YouTube. The music video first features the lead singer of Panic! At The Disco Brendon Urie climbing out of a car and nervously walking down a sidewalk, distractedly bumping into a couple of people as he passes by. Urie then approaches a building and defies gravity as he suddenly begins to walks up against the building’s surface to the amazement of the onlookers below him and within the building he’s scaling. Urie reaches the top of the building and receives applause from the onlookers. The video ends with Urie singing the final verses of the song with a band backing him up on the top of the building.
In the caption of the music video, Urie encouraged his fans to follow their dreams: “No matter how hard your dreams seem, keep going. You might even have to climb up the side of a building in downtown LA, but it’ll all be worth it at the top. Stay up on that rise, B, P!ATD” The Twitter account for DCD2 Records, which is Panic! At The Disco’s record label, celebrated the release of the High Hopes music video by posting a personalized Photoshopped version of the movie poster from Dwayne Johnson’s latest film, Skyscraper. The post included a photo of Urie’s face superimposed on top of Johnson’s face as Urie hangs off the roof of a building winking and sticking his tongue out.
