Gerron Hurt Is Your Newest ‘Master Chef’
After an anticipating, intense season of sweating behind the stove, the 9th Master Chef has been crowned.
25-year-old Gerron Hurt has emerged a winner. The Kentucky native and English teacher snagged the half-a-million dollar prize, and the prestigious Master Chef trophy during the season 9 finale.
Hurt made an impression on the show with his Southern-style dishes. Under the mentorship of judge and restauranteur, Joe Bastianich, the home-chef won the final title with a three-course meal entirely inspired by his Kentucky roots.
