Meet ‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestant Courtney Hadwin
While magician Shin Lim snagged the America’s Got Talent grand prize during this season’s recent finale, there is another contestant that deserves just as much attention: Courtney Hadwin.
The 14-year old singer made the top 10 of the competition, landing sixth place. Originally from Country Durham, England, the teen made a trip to the States to woo the judges and the audience with her musical audition.
Approaching the stage with a shy, timid demeanor, Hadwin’s unique, rock-and-roll performance was nothing less than shocking. After comparing her style to Janis Joplin, and predicting her win of the entire competition, judge Howie Mandel hit the golden buzzer, sending the singer straight to the live shows.
Hadwin’s spunky performances throughout the rest of the competition only continued to grow her loving fan-base, titling her as a front-runner.
Unfortunately, (and shockingly) the teenage artist did not claim the million-dollar reward, but judge Simon Cowell is not going to let her spotlight fade. The music producer has decided to sign Hadwin to his record label, Syco.
Hopefully Courtney Hadwin will be releasing her own original music for fans to rock out to soon.
