Sara Bareilles, Kesha, Brendon Urie + More to Cover Songs from ‘The Greatest Showman’

Multiple celebrities and musicians have been recruited to sing the hit songs from 20th Century Fox’s, The Greatest Showman.

Variety was the first to break the story about the album, entitled The Greatest Showman Reimagined, which will be released through Atlantic Records on November 16th, 2018. The Greatest Showman Reimagined will be compiled with famous musicians, rappers, and bands, such as Sara Bareilles, Kelly Clarkson, Missy Elliott, Willow Sage Hart, Panic! at the Disco, Pink, Ty Dolla $ign, and Zac Brown Band, covering the hit numbers from the film.

The Greatest Showman was a musical film based on the life of the famous showman P.T. Barnum, his circus Barnum & Bailey Circus and his circus troupe. Hugh Jackman starred as P.T. Barnum while Michelle Williams, Zac Efron, Zendaya, and Rebecca Ferguson also starred. The songwriting duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who have written the songs for the musical film La La Land and the Broadway show Dear Evan Hansen, had written the musical songs for The Greatest Showman.

Songs that were featured included hits such as “This is Me,” “A Million Dreams,” and “Rewrite the Stars.” Pasek and Paul’s music had gained popularity amongst the film’s fans and the film’s anthem “This is Me,” sung by Settle in the film, had earned the songwriting duo a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination.
