Shawn Mendes Duets with the Zac Brown Band
It looks like the pop singer also has some country chops.
When you hear the name Shawn Mendes, your first thought probably isn’t country music. Just recently, the pop singer shows off his versatility in a duet with the Zac Brown Band on CMT Crossroads. The CMT television series pairs country artists with well-known musicians from other genres, producing mixed-genre mashups of popular songs.
During the October 24th episode that featured Shawn Mendes, the Canadian artist collaborated with country music act, the Zac Brown Band. Together, they played “Keep Me In Mind,” the band’s most popular tune.
Mendes and Brown also duetted on Mendes’ latest single, “In My Blood,” giving it a country twist:

Even if it seems like an unlikely collaboration, the pop-country mashup vibes between these two powerhouse artists totally work. Let’s hope they join forces on a tune in the near future.
