The 14-year-old Stranger Things actress just announced on social media that UNICEF has named her the youngest ever Goodwill Ambassador. Brown was elated at the honor of being able to represent the organization and disclosed to fans that it was her biggest dream come true. The star’s appointment to the position was announced on World Children’s Day at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
Brown will use her platform to raise awareness of children’s rights and issues affecting youth today. She will bring awareness to issues like lack of education, poverty, bullying, and violence. UNICEF is asking everyone to go blue for World Children’s Day to show solidarity with disadvantaged and vulnerable children.
