Ally Brooke Covers ‘Last Christmas’
This reimagined cover will get you into the Christmas spirit.
Now that Thanksgiving has passed, it can only mean one thing: the holiday season has officially begun. It’s time to crank up the Christmas tunes, especially Ally Brooke’s new cover of a holiday classic.
The former Fifth Harmony member dropped an upbeat pop version of “Last Christmas,” giving the song a fresh sound. The track was released alongside Atlantic Records, the label that signed Ally Brooke back in August of this year.
Following the song’s release, Ally Brooke performed the tune on a float at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Although the weather hit record-setting cold temperatures, she maintained her high spirits leading up to the performance.
Ally Brooke is the first solo member of Fifth Harmony to perform in the parade, following the girl group’s official hiatus at the beginning of 2018. The artist was ecstatic to celebrate the milestone, even if it took her a while to thaw out from the freezing weather:
Guys I can finally feel my toes again!!! Thank you to everyone who watched & those who braved the cold!!! I hope everyone had the best thanksgiving. I know I sure did!!! 🍁🦃🧡
