Travis Scott Makes Major Announcement Regarding Super Bowl Performance
Last month it was announced that Travis Scott would be performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show alongside Maroon 5 and BigBoi on February 3rd.
The Astroworld rapper received a ton of backlash from his fans and other artists behind this decision based on the tension between the NFL and the many players protesting racial injustice. Despite all of the backlash, Travis made an agreement behind the scenes that we can all be proud of. In exchange for his performance, Travis required the NFL to make a joint donation with himself to Dream Corps, an organization fighting for social justice founded by Van Jones.
This is great news! Welcome, @trvisXX. Glad to have you with us, brother! @thedreamcorps @cut_50 #cut50 @yeswecode @viendetta @JessyMichele https://t.co/VKcVjm631U

The joint donation made was in the form of $500,000. What a great way to push for change. Go Travis.
