Anna Kendrick to Co-Star in New Sci-Fi Film

In a new project called Stowaway, we will see Anna Kendrick alongside Toni Collette take on the newest out of this world mission.
At the Cannes Film festival last year Ryan Morrison, Joe Penna and Mads Mikkelsen brought the survival film Arctic. It was an intense survival thriller that really made waves. Penna and Morrison are coming back to take the survival genre to space with Anna Kendrick and Toni Collette.

Anna Kendrick, in the past, has worked on films such as the Pitch Perfect series, Into the Woods, and the Trolls franchise. Most recently, though, she delved into the thriller world starring alongside Blake Lively in A Simple Favor. A Simple Favor earned a respectable 6.9/10 on IMDb, and with this latest dramatic genre success, it will be exciting to see Kendrick take it on again.

For Toni Collette, the thriller genre is nothing new. In the past, she has worked on projects like Hostages in 2014, Krampus in 2015, and Hereditary in 2018. She is a veteran actress in the thriller genre at this point. However, it will be exciting to see how she and Kendrick work together to tell this story.

As stated before, leading the project will be Ryan Morrison and Joe Penna. Morrison and Penna have taken on several successful projects as a team in the past. Morrison’s editing and producing as well as Penna’s directing were responsible for Turning Point, Instant Getaway, and Beyond. Their most recent film, Arctic, earned a 7.5 on IMDb and a great amount of praise at the Cannes Film Festival. There is so much potential in the cast and crew that has been announced so far, and it’s very exciting.
There is no current release date for the film, but you can keep your eyes on Twitter for the announcement. Likely it will be a while, but it’s never to early to be excited about what’s sure to be a great movie!
