Watch Cole Sprouse in the Upcoming Movie ‘Five Feet Apart’
Riverdale star Cole Sprouse will be playing another rebel in the new movie titled Five Feet Apart.
Five Feet Apart is a movie about two teenagers in love who have cystic fibrosis, a genetic disorder that affects mostly the lungs. Cole Sprouse is Will Newman, a patient who knows no bounds when it comes to the rules. Sprouse has excellent practice in this type of role thanks to his Riverdale character Jughead. But this time, his partner won’t be Betty. Haley Lu Richardson was cast to play as Stella, a girl who also has cystic fibrosis.
As explained in the trailer, two people with cystic fibrosis cannot be within six feet of each other unless they want to catch the other’s bacteria. So, Stella and Will set this “five feet apart” plan as a way to challenge that rule.
Five Feet Apart is based on a book released at the end of 2018 by Rachel Lippincott. Claire Wineland, a YouTuber who lost her life last year due to the disease, has been a close part of this movie. She worked with Richardson and Sprouse to help them perfect their CF patient roles. The movie was directed by Jane the Virgin’s Justin Baldoni.
