Check out the New Trailer for ‘Long Shot’ Starring Seth Rogen

Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen are set to star in a new political comedy.
Long Shot seems to be the exact kind of romance film we need this year. It is funny and authentic, bringing together the exact mix of drama and comedy to compete with all of the incredible movies hitting the screens in 2019. The film tells the story of a Secretary of State stepping up to run for presidents and her past babysitting charge, now a journalist, coming aboard as her speechwriter. The two kindle a friendship that turns to romance as they travel the world campaigning and getting to know each other all over again.

Charlize Theron will star as Secretary of State, Charlotte Field. This will be an interesting role to see her take on as, while a straight-laced character is not too new for her, we don’t often see Theron in comedies. In the past, she has made splashes in films such as MAd Max: Fury Road, Monster, and Atomic Blonde, none of which were particularly funny. This will make the movie all the more intriguing. From what the trailer has to say, it seems she takes to the genre very well.

Seth Rogen, on the other hand, is a comedy master. Rogen will star as Fred Flarsky, a dorky journalist that Field used to babysit. Rogen is the king of awkward characters, and we expect nothing less in this latest role. In the past, Rogen has tackled films such as This is the End, Superbad, and Pineapple Express, all of which give him a great chance to succeed in this latest project.
Long Shot will hit theatres on May 3rd, so make sure to get your tickets. It’s sure to be fantastic!
