Serena Williams Calls on Women to be Fearless at Sold-Out Watermark Conference for Women

World-class athlete, Serena Williams, spoke to women at the Watermark Conference in Silicon Valley about making their move in regards to business, relationships, and life. 

At the conference Williams had a candid conversation regarding women and their power of choice with Whitney Wolfe Herd, founder of Bumble, the popular dating app that only allows women to make the first move.

Williams shared wise advice: “Don’t waste time waiting. If I had spent my life patiently waiting on people to include or accept me, I would not be where I am today. Make your move. Stand out. Claim your power.”

This year the Workplace Summit was held, which was created to promote efficient gender partnerships and maintain equity within the workplace

The nonprofit event is one of the largest networks of women’s conferences in the United States. Their mission is deemed: “The Power of Us: Amplify Your Voice,” and they offer access to many successful women in America who demonstrate skills and strategies in relation to business, philanthropy, health, finance, and media.

The conference also included many guest speakers with wise words to share such as Gloria Steinem, Dr. Brené Brown, Amanda Southworth, and Celeste Headlee.
