The Trailer for Beyoncé’s Netflix Documentary Has Been Released
The documentary we’ve all been waiting for has a release date.
It has been rumored that Beyoncé was partnering with Netflix for a documentary, but no one knew in exactly what context. But now it has been confirmed that Beyoncé will indeed be releasing a documentary via Netflix. The name of the documentary is Homecoming, which will be a behind the scenes look at the production of Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella performance.
The Coachella performance also known as “Beychella” was Beyoncé’s way of showcasing the culture of HBCU’s (Historically Black College and Universities) all across the country and it sparked a movement amongst the Black community, bringing a feeling of unity. Beyoncé carefully studied the traditions of Black Greek life on HBCU campuses from their probates, line dances and step shows, which often happen around Homecoming season. She even showcased the talents of HBCU bands and their majorette dancers.
