Madonna is Partnering with Maluma for a New Song
It’s the collaboration we didn’t know we wanted and now we can’t wait.
Madonna is one of the ultimate musical icons. She has had so many hits, from Vogue to Like a Virgin. However, her last album, “Rebel Heart” was in 2015. Now, she has that she will be partnering with Columbian singer, Maluma, for a song. Maluma has had many reggaeton hits such as “Felices Los 4” and “HP”. The thought of the pair joining together to sing a song titled “Medellín” is beyond exciting. We can’t wait to hear Madonna sing with a reggaeton beat and, if we’re lucky, in Spanish.
The announcement of the song comes at an exciting time for Madonna herself. She has just announced her new album “Madame X” with a cryptic video. In the video, Madonna is shown dressed in different attires, with short sound clips of a song, and her narrating the video stating that she “Decided to call [her] record “Madam X”. We can also hear her say that “Madame X is a secret agent traveling around the world, changing identities, fighting for freedom, bringing light to dark places” and describing Madame X as a “professor, a head of state, a housekeeper”, among other roles. We wonder what it all means. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait to get more details as we currently have no release date or idea of what the album will sound like. Nonetheless, we are thrilled to know that Madonna is returning to the music scene.
You can watch the full teaser below and don’t forget to listen to “Medellín” on April 17th.
