The complex relationship between Maleficent and Aurora will continue to be explored as they face new threats to the magical land of the Moors.

Angelina Jolie returns after five years since the original Maleficent hit theaters. Including Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville, the cast returns for a fairytale sequel. Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert Lindsay will play as Queen Ingrith and King John of the magical kingdom, Moors.

“I remember the story of an evil witch and the princess she cursed forever,” narrates Maleficent in the trailer. “The story became a legend, but this is no fairytale.”

As true of the great villain, Maleficent is right. The sequel is no fairytale. Based on the trailer it will bring more action, evil, and magic that we’ve all been waiting for.
