Snoh Aalegra’s Music Creates Feels
The Swedish singer-songwriter has a velvety classic voice and has a fashion sense that reminds you of a classic Hollywood starlet. Her beautiful album artwork and videos reminiscent of 50s glamour tie in seamlessly with the atmosphere her voice and romantic instrumentals create. At age 14 in 2001, Aalegra signed to Sony Music Sweden but released no music through the deal. She said, “Things didn’t really work out with [Sony Sweden], but I’m glad I had the opportunity to be exposed to the industry at a young age.” In 2010 she released her first studio album titled First Sign. Aalegra debuted her new name Snoh Aalegra in 2014 and released an EP, There Will Be Sunshine, and another called Don’t Explain in 2016. Aalegra released her debut album, Feels, in 2017 and Drake sampled her song Time on his song Do Not Disturb.
Definitely make sure to check out her smooth vocals and add a new artist to your playlist.
My mother delivered me in Wiesbaden, Germany. I have an African-American father and German mother. I lived there until I reached around age 8 and we moved to Saint Louis, MO. I now attend Truman State University in Kirksville, MO aiming to complete an English major with a Film Studies minor since I enjoy thinking of creative concepts and analyzing film.
