Gwyneth Paltrow Forgot She Was in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’
While guest starring on a cooking show, Gwyneth Paltrow was surprised to find out she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Gwyneth Paltrow has been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) since the first Marvel release of Iron Man in 2008. Her beloved character, Pepper Potts, has appeared in six other MCU films since then. Seven MCU films probably mean she has put hundreds of hours into the Marvel franchise. After working in the business for so long, anyone could start to forget exactly what they have done in the past decade. This exact thing happened to Paltrow on Netflix’s new cooking show, The Chef Show.
The Chef Show is hosted by actor-director and another MCU character Jon Favreau and chef Roy Choi. In this particular episode, they were showing Gwyneth Paltrow how to make a recipe called “pepper pot”. While they were getting started, Favreau told Paltrow he got the idea for the show while they were filming Spider-Man: Homecoming together. Paltrow was quick to deny her involvement with the movie to a very surprised Favreau. Over the next couple of minutes, it’s a back and forth discussion where Favreau tries to jog Paltrow’s memory until she finally remembers.
