‘Gossip Girl’ Is Coming Back with a New Group of NYC Teens to Follow Around
Remember watching Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf run the Upper Eastside and watching what lonely boy, Dan Humphreys was getting up to? Well, now it is time for a new generation of private school teens to take on the challenge of living their lives online. The Gossip Girl reboot will be following around these students and touch on how much social media and the city has changed since our days watching what Serena, Nate, Chuck, Blair, and Dan were doing.
7 years after the series ended, Gossip Girl will be coming back to everyone’s screen. HBO Max has requested 10 hour-long episodes that will introduce new Manhattan elite private-schoolers. The reboot “will address just how much social media & NYC has changed over the years.” pic.twitter.com/Gg6l2yUhBn

According to Deadline, “The logline: Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl.” The show will be on WarnerMedia’s new streaming service, HBO Max. There will be 10 hour-long episodes coming our way in the future and we can not be more excited. Even though Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, and Ed Westwick will not be in the reboot, we will always remember them and what they went through during their time in the Upper Eastside with Gossip Girl.
We can not wait to see what is in store for this new generation of teens and what they are going to be getting up to. What will Gossip Girl spill about these newcomers? Well, we will just have to wait and see.
