“Language” is about trying everything you can to make a relationship work out. This song is about being in a relationship and wanting to just love the person but the communication is not there. They are not speaking the same language when it comes to disagreements. The first verse talks about playing games in the relationship and how she is always angry, “They always say, ‘Don’t go to bed angry’ so it’s been days since I got some sleep, babe. I say, ‘I miss you,’ you take it as I’m tryna guilt you like I’m insecure, oh this quiet game ain’t working out for me.”

Throughout the song, Tori talks about being patient because it will all be worth it in the end. All they need to do is learn each other’s language so they can finally communicate without getting angry with one another.

Be sure to check out “Language” that is out now and pre-order, pre-save or pre-add Inspired By True Events which comes out on Aug. 9.
