Instagram

Emily Tosta stars in FreeForm’s upcoming original show Party of Five which talks about the topic of immigration and deportation. The star decided to tell her own story about immigration on her Instagram. The message that she writes to her fans is inspiring and emotional. Emily decided to share her story with us and we are grateful that she was willing to share this part of her life on social media.

Emily posted a picture of her and her mother looking absolutely gorgeous but the real attention grabber is the caption underneath. Emily starts out by writing, “my mom and i came to this country with NOTHING, no legal status, barely ANY money, not fluent in English, and only 2 suitcases. all we had was a goal we wanted to achieve together.” Throughout the caption, she talked about the struggles that the two had. She mentioned that her mom had sacrificed everything so she could follow her dreams.

my mom and i came to this country with NOTHING, no legal status, barely ANY money, not fluent in english, and only 2 suitcases. all we had was a goal we wanted to achieve together. she sacrificed EVERYTHING so i could follow my dreams. after so many years of battles, tears, scrounging for money (sometimes even for food), countless obstacles, rejections, discrimination, and so many difficulties, here we are: our dreams are now our reality❤️ i write this because i want to encourage EVERYONE. no matter where you come from, what language you speak or what you look like, anything is possible. DO NOT give up on your dreams. persevere, have faith and work hard. and to my dear mama👑 thank you for being my rock, for being there for me and believing in me since day one. you saw my potential when i was a little girl and continuously reminded me of it, even when i doubted myself. you are my superhero. this is all for you✨& its just the beginning💪🏽

They did not have a lot of money, Emily wrote that they would have to scrounge for money and sometimes even food. They went through rejection, discrimination, and other obstacles but they have finally made their dreams come true. Emily wrote, ” i write this because i want to encourage EVERYONE. no matter where you come from, what language you speak or what you look like, anything is possible. DO NOT give up on your dreams. persevere, have faith and work hard.”

At the end of the caption, Emily thanked her mom for everything she has done and sacrificed to make her dreams come true. “And to my dear mama👑 thank you for being my rock, for being there for me and believing in me since day one. you saw my potential when i was a little girl and continuously reminded me of it, even when i doubted myself.”

Let this be a reminder that if you believe in yourself and have people behind you that support you, anything is possible. Follow your dreams and make them a reality. Nothing comes easy but if you are willing to roll with the punches you will achieve your goals.
