As of July, Lover has beaten the record for most pre-saved album by a female artist and most pre-added pop album in its first day on Apple Music.
In an Instagram Live video last month, Swift announced that the Target special editions of the new album will include over 100 diary entries, staring with her days as a teenager and continuing through her rise to fame.

There are rumors that the new track was inspired by Swift’s boyfriend of almost three years, British actor Joe Alwyn. Although this hasn’t been confirmed, the song is definitely passionate, with it’s emotionally soft, romantic lyrics backed by graceful harmonies, a light drum beat, and a little bit of delicate piano. It is certainly bound to be the top request for slow dancing couples everywhere.
Lover will be available for listening on Aug. 23, 2019.
