Simone Biles’ Triple-Double Makes Gymnastics History
Simone Biles is the real-life Superwoman.
Superwoman is no longer just a fictional character from comic books. Her name is Simone Biles and she’s a gymnast with strength, speed, and flight. Our Superwoman made history at the U.S. women’s gymnastics championship by becoming the first woman to land a clean triple-double. The triple-double consists of two flips and three twits in the air. It’s not an easy skill considering it has been reported that only 2 men and now 1 woman have been able to land it.
The history-making doesn’t stop there though, that same weekend Simone also made history by landing a double-double dismount during her beam routine. This skill consists of two twists, two somersault flips off the balance beam.
The star athlete thanked everyone for their endless support under her Instagram post of the flawless landings.
Simone was all smiles that weekend as she made history…twice.
Simone has also received an outpour of support from fans and celebrities such as Michelle Obama, Chrissy Teigen, T.J. Chambers, and Priyanka Chopra. Our real-life Superwoman is a delight to watch and a joy to cheer on. We can’t wait to see what’s next from the sensational Simone Biles.
