Rotimi Is Joining the Cast of ‘Coming 2 America’ Sequel

The original film Coming to America, starring phenomenal actors like Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, and James Earl Jones, premiered June 29th, 1988.

The highly anticipated sequel has begun forming a star-studded cast, including  Teyana Taylor, Michael Blackson, Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, Rick Ross, and Tracy Morgan and recently added cast member Olurotimi Akinosho, better known by his professional name Rotimi.

Rotimi is a singer and actor most recognized for his roles in Starz original series, Boss, and as Dre in the award-winning television show Power (which will be releasing its sixth and final season beginning on August 25th). As a musician, Rotimi has released two albums entitled Jeep Music Vol 1, released in 2017, and Walk with Me, released in 2019.

The new cast members will be joining the original cast of Coming to America and the sequel is set to debut on December 18th, 2020. With the original movie earning 288 million dollars at the box office, and the amazing new cast members we are all excited to this see this masterpiece in theaters.
