Nicki Minaj Is Retiring from Rap
Somebody please, go check on the Barbz… they are not okay.
Nicki Minaj has shocked the world yet again. This time it wasn’t her flamboyant costumes, juicy tea from her hit radio show, or a hot new single. Queen Nicki has announced her decision to retire from the rap game, for good. This all seems so sudden, the “Megatron” rapper just released “Hot Girl Summer” with Meg Thee Stallion in early August.
But, it seems although Nicki is being genuine with her decision and wants to start a family. In true queen fashion, Nicki rhymed her retirement announcement in a shocking tweet, “I’ve decided to retire & have my family.” She continues, “I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin’ me, do it til da death of me, X in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin’ me.”
The Barbz have been showing their love and support for Nicki as they receive the hard news.

Nicki has had an amazing career in the rap game with 4 studio albums: Pink Friday, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, The Pinkprint, and Queen. It’s hard to believe that the Trinidadian rapper who grew up in Queens would retire via Twitter. Hopefully, this was just her way of softening the blow before dropping her last album or tour. A final goodbye to all of her loyal fans and supporters.
We wish our forever, Queen of Rap a happy and fulfilling retirement. We are so lucky to have witnessed firsthand the reign of Nicki Minaj.
