Cameron Boyce Honored at the 2019 Thirst Gala

The 10th annual Thirst Gala was held on September 28, 2019, in Los Angeles. 

At this year’s annual Thirst Gala, Cameron Boyce was honored with the same award he received last year at the 9th annual Thirst Gala, the Pioneering Spirit Award. The gala also took it upon themselves to rename the award The Cameron Boyce Pioneering Spirit Award, this year.

Yesterday, Cameron was honored at the tenth annual Thirst Gala where the award that he received last year was renamed The Cameron Boyce Pioneering Spirit Award. In his speech that he gave just over a year ago, he urged us all to use our resources to help people who need us. We are proud to announce that The Cameron Boyce Foundation has donated $8,000 to Thirst Project to build a well in Uganda. Because of the outpouring of love, and support and generous donations you have given us we are able to carry on the work that Cameron leaves behind. We look forward to continuing to support Thirst Project in their fight to end the global water crisis, and all of the many causes that were important to Cameron. #LiveLikeCameron #LoveLikeCameron#AffectLikeCameron

The award was announced by one of Boyce’s best friends and co-star from Disney Channel’s Jessie, Karan Brar.

The Thirst Gala is an annual fundraising event and photograph/multimedia exhibition. The event is held to educate and engage guests to those who the gala helps out in the community with humanitarian work. Guests are given donation options through the night such as text-to-give, and other opportunities.

The Cameron Boyce Foundation donated the $8,000 to Thirst Project to build a well in Uganda. Boyce also helped to raise more than $30,000 for the organization to build two wells in Swaziland.

Cameron Boyce has always been an amazing humanitarian and it is great to see his recognition through his family and through his foundation.
