Tyga Signs Multi-Million Dollar Deal with Columbia Records

Emma McIntyre/E! Entertainment

Tyga recently announced that he signed a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia Records.

The “Rack City” rapper took to his Instagram on Tuesday, October 15th to announce the new record deal he signed with Columbia Records.  Tyga met with CEO/Chairman of Columbia Records, Ron Perry, to discuss the deal and the rest was history. This is not the rappers first time being signed to a major record label. In 2008, he signed with Cash Money which is under Republic Records and even signed an earlier deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Tyga has been an independent artist for the last few years so this deal comes as a pleasant surprise for the artist and his fans.

The Compton, California rapper has given us many bops including, “Make It Nasty” and “Faded.” Some of his more recent hits include “Dip,” featuring Nicki Minaj, and “Taste,” which features Offset and is actually closing in on having one billion views on YouTube.

Columbia Records welcomed Tyga to the family on Twitter.

We can not wait to see where this new record deal takes Tyga and the many hits he will bring us.
