Ariel Winter Embraces Her Curves with a Body-Positive Message
The actresses’ dramatic weight loss has reminded her that it’s time to embrace her curves and become stronger.
Women’s Health interviewed Ariel Winter on October 30, 2019, about her fitness journey. Winter revealed that she is working on getting a “big butt” and “Michelle Obama arms.” Her plan to do this will be by incorporating a series of strength-training workouts to her regime. Unfortunately, because of the antidepressants the actress was taking in the past, she had struggled to reach her goals. She trains regularly and posts about it on her Instagram.
“Years ago, it was hard because I’d go to the gym with my trainer and because of my antidepressant medications I never saw results. I didn’t change my antidepressants because I wanted to lose weight, I’d just accepted it and it was fine,” said Winter in an interview with Women’s Health. “I got inspired to actually find a medication that helped me as a person and did all the things I wanted it to do.”
Not only did the Modern Family star address her physical Health, but she also touched on her mental. In a Q & A posted on her Instagram story in April, the actress wrote, “I’ve been in therapy every week for six years, and I don’t know where I’d be without it. I’ve grown so much as a person and been able to learn how to deal with things from my past that affect my present. It’s a journey, so I’m not all the way there, but I’m doing pretty good.”
Winter is more determined than ever to make herself healthy both inside and out, and we applaud her inspiring efforts.
