Kristen Bell Is Going to Be in a New ‘Gossip Girl’ Reboot on HBO Max
Guess what the blonde-haired beauty is going to be doing on the set of Gossip Girl?
The iconic show will be back on your television screens soon. For those who don’t know, the original Gossip Girl follows the lives of “It-girl” Serena Vanderwoodson, played by Blake Lively, and her socialite friends. The show was a massive success and featured 121 episodes of Kristen Bell’s iconic narration. She will reprise her role in the reboot, and we can’t wait to see what the gossip girl has to say.
In an exclusive interview with Yahoo entertainment, Bell gave fans some info about the project, which hails from the original show creators, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. “It’s such a fun show to watch, and it’s going to be on HBO Max and we’re going to start in the spring,” Bell explained. “I’m really excited.”
This iteration will be set eight years after the illusive Gossip Girl site goes dark. As an anonymous new gossip girl becomes active, the series starts anew. The show will take into consideration the significant differences in social media and New York since its previous series finale.
HBO Max hasn’t announced an official release date, but it has called for ten episodes of the show. The show will only be available on this streaming service, so make sure you’re prepared to binge-watch by subscribing. HBO Max will also feature an impressive line-up of classic shows such as Friends, and The Fresh Prince of Belair.
