Matt Maeson and Lana Del Rey Team Up for a Performance of ‘Hallucinogenics’

Atlantic Records

Matt Maeson joined Lana Del Rey on stage this past weekend in Oklahoma City to perform Maeson’s hit, “Hallucinogenics.”

Maeson, who appeared as a special guest for Del Rey, recently topped the charts with his single “Cringe.” The single comes from his critically acclaimed debut album Bank On The Funeral, which was released earlier this year.

Described as an artist who has created a sound unlike anything else out there, Maeson has had a notable musical journey. Music was a part of Maeson’s life from a young age. The Virginia Beach native grew up traveling across the U.S. and performing with his parents’ prison ministry at maximum security penitentiaries.

Maeson’s experiences with performing music inspired him to begin songwriting and in late 2015, he uploaded his first songs online. The songs quickly brought Maeson attention, as his songwriting abilities and raw, emotional voice allowed the songs to be powerful confessionals.

Since 2016, Maeson has been touring nonstop and has toured alongside other artists such as Jaymes Young, Bishop Briggs, and Vallis Alps. Maeson has also been headlining shows at a number of festivals including Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.

Currently, he is traveling around the U.S. on his “The Day You Departed Tour,” which includes both headlined shows and festival dates, with the tour’s final date at The Point HoHo Show in St. Louis, Missouri on Dec. 15. Musical duo Moby Rich has also been appearing as a special guest for a majority of the tour.

Maeson has quickly and effectively created a name for himself and is definitely an artist whose songs we will have on repeat.
