Throughout the week, the actor/singer presented to us clips and snippets of her new single, building the anticipation of her many listeners.
The Descendants star gave us just enough information so we know what to expect, but not too much to the point of giving it away and it worked. So far, the music video has acquired over 370,000 views, this is excluding other platforms such as Spotify or Amazon Music.
The song is so much more different than her past songs in the best way possible. It’s honest, raw, relatable and personal; all things that make an amazing track. Cameron even took to Instagram, stating that this is “one of [her] favorite tracks [she’s] done so far.” If ever there were a way to reinvent your sound, this would be the way.
