Look out for Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan in New Biopic

The untitled biopic is being directed by James Mangold and we can already tell it will be amazing.

After directing Ford v Ferrari, James Mangold is ready to team up with Timothée Chalamet in the new Bob Dylan biopic. It will be based on the book Dylan Goes Electric by Elijah Wald and will focus on the period when Dylan changes his sounds from folksy music to rock and roll.

Dylan will even be a big part of the film as an executive producer. Since Dylan is working on the film, they already have secured the music rights. His longtime manager Jeff Rosen will also be working on the film closely with Searchlight pictures and Mangold.

This will not be the first biopic that Mangold has directed. He directed Walk the Line in 2005 which portrayed the life of Johnny Cash. Mangold’s other notable films that he directed are Ford v Ferrari, Logan, and Girl Uninterrupted.

Negotiations are still underway for Chalamet who has recently been receiving praise for his role in Little Women. He is soon going to make his debut on the London stage in 4,0000 Miles from April 16 to May 23. After that, he will begin filming for the new biopic, which is rumored to be called Going Electric.
