John Legend, Alicia Keys, and More to Perform at Prince Tribute Concert
“Let’s Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince” will be taped at the Los Angeles Convention Center on January 28th.
Just two days after the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, there will be a Prince tribute concert. The talented artist died on April 21, 2016. Throughout his career, he won seven Grammy’s and was nominated for 38 awards.
Some of the biggest stars will be performing on this night such as John Legend, Alicia Keys, H.E.R., Foo Fighters, Chris Martin, and Earth, Wind & Fire. Prince’s former drummer, Sheila E., will be the night’s musical director along with Prince’s associates, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

Many old collaborators of Prince will also be attending. The Bangle’s Susanna Hoff, who sang the Prince-written song “Manic Monday,” and Morris Day and the Time will make an appearance. The Revolution, Prince’s old band, has also signed on to help celebrate the musician.
This Prince tribute concert is going to follow past “Grammy Salute” concerts which include The Beatles, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder. There has always been talk of doing a tribute concert for Prince, especially after The Time and Bruno Mars’ tribute to him at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
The show will include different eras in Prince’s career with biographical segments being played in between performances. The setlist will be filled with hits but also a few of his lesser-known works.
Although the show is being taped in January, it will premiere on TV sometime in April of 2020. Make sure to keep an eye out for it.
