Find out Who Is Being Inducted Into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Ballots were cast by more than 1,000 artists and six of them were chosen for this prestigious achievement.
The new inductees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were revealed on Jan. 15 and they are Whitney Houston, The Doobie Brothers, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G., Depeche Mode, and T-Rex.

To be eligible, each artist or band must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of the nomination. Many other factors are also taken into consideration such as musical influence, innovation, style, and technique.
Recently, Evelyn McDonnell did a study that showed less than 8% of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members are women. With Whitney Houston, the gap only closes slightly since she is being inducted with Notorious B.I.G. and four all-male bands.

The 35th Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place in Cleveland, Ohio and will be broadcast live on HBO on May 2. Tickets for the event will go on sale to the public on Feb 27.
