Selena Gomez’s Merch for New ‘Dance Again’ Music Video Will Go Toward MusiCares’ Relief Fund
Last week, Selena Gomez dropped her new music video for “Dance Again.”
“Dance Again” is from the singer’s third studio album, Rare, which was released back in January.
To accompany the video, Selena made an announcement on her Instagram that a portion of the proceeds made from her new line of “Dance Again”-themed, will be going toward the MusiCares foundation.
“For every purchase of the new “Dance Again” merch in my store, a portion of proceeds will benefit the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund,” the pop singer wrote on Instagram.
“It feels a little strange releasing something so lighthearted in the middle of such a heavy time for our world, but I also think it’s a good reminder that we will get through this together,” Gomez added.
In the recent weeks, MusiCares implemented a COVID-19 Relief Fund to assist musicians and artists affected by the coronavirus pandemic. This crisis has cut off many artists from their main source of income.
MusiCares shares, “COVID-19 has devastated our music community, leaving thousands of music creators and professionals without work and an uncertain future.” The Foundation continues saying, “We have the power to help”.
Fans can purchase the “Dance Again” merch on the pop star’s website to contribute to the cause.
