Get Pumped for a New Album From Charli XCX in Quarantine
It seems music has been getting us all through these quarantine times, and we can soon add Charli XCX’s new album to the mix.
What would we do without all of the celebrities and artists that have been generously offering us a variety of entertainment during quarantine? Probably go absolutely crazy. Thankfully, we have them, streaming platforms, social media, at-home workouts, cooking and music to keep us sane.
Charli XCX, 27-year-old singer and songwriter announced today at 11:30 PST/8:30 ET/ 7:30 BST live on a Zoom call with about 1,000 of her fans, that she will be releasing her newest album May 15, 2020. Charli admitted that the album titled how I’m feeling now, is a “working title” and yes, it will be written, recorded and released all while following the rules of self-isolation.

Charli is determined to make this album authentic, at home from scratch, by utilizing all the tools she has at her fingertips calling it “very DIY.” The singer is trying to use her quarantine time wisely by staying creative, going hand in hand with positivity. Charli, just like many other artists and celebs has been using the Instagram Live feature to play her music while fans tune in.
The singer wants to keep an open process as she will be reaching out to collaborate with people online, Zooming with fans, taking opinions or ideas, creating an email address to accept references and beats, posting text conversations and a capellas, as well as filming herself from the studio.
