‘The Bachelor’s’ Colton Underwood Shares His Experience With Testing Positive for Coronavirus, Take a Read
As people all over the world are suffering from COVID-19, celebrities that have tested positive share their stories.
Unfortunately, this deadly virus has been taking over our world, affecting people of all ages, and sadly taking the lives of many individuals way too soon. There have been a handful of public figures who tested positive for COVID-19 and utilized the power of social media to share their stories while raising awareness of the importance of social distancing, staying healthy and protecting yourself/others. This virus is truly a gamble when it comes to your age and health. It is unpredictable and horrifying, which is why it is so critical to take safety precautions seriously.
Colton Underwood from season 23 of The Bachelor took to Instagram to share his journey with Coronavirus. On March 20, 2020, he announced that after following the social distancing rules for over a week he started feeling symptomatic and received the news that he tested positive a few days later. He then immediately self quarantined with his girlfriend, Cassie Randolph. Underwood described himself as feeling extremely exhausted, to the point that going to the bathroom was just as winding as him trying to climb up a flight of stairs. After a few days of medicine, he started to feel a tad better, but his body aches, fever, shortness of breath and fatigue were still in full effect, “feeling like [he] only [had] access to 20% of [his] lungs.”
Not too long after, Underwood on day 11 said he was finally feeling like himself again, gaining more lung capacity. Thankfully today, Colton made the announcement that he has fully recovered from the virus and could not thank Cassie and her family more for their support during this time. Underwood is working closely with healthcare professionals to offer any help he can by donating plasma and staying involved. It is so important to stay informed of the signs of COVID-19’s many symptoms and effects while practicing social distancing.
