Charli XCX Released New Track ‘Forever’ From Her Upcoming Album
This debut track is from her new album how i’m feeling now and you’re going to want to keep playing it on repeat.
Charli XCX recently announced her forthcoming album how i’m feeling now and she just released the first track from the album, “Forever.” The song was written this week by Charli XCX and co-executive produced by her, A. G. Cook and BJ Burton. It was written via the internet while all three are in isolation and the rest of the album will follow this same process by being written, recorded, produced, and released while in quarantine.
“Forever” is just a small taste of what the rest of the album is going to sound like. As a romantic, hopeful cut of progressive pop, “Forever” hints that the other tracks on the album will be patient, forward-thinking, and completely unique.
Charli XCX even had three artists, Seth Bogart, Caroline Polachek, and Regards Coupables, create three different artworks for her single by having each of them recreate a photo that she took at home. She said, “I’m such a fangirl of all three artists and to collaborate on artwork like this is a new experience for me. I like the idea that the visual language for this project can be interpreted by however someone feels towards the music.”
