‘American Idol’ Is Debuting Their First-Ever At-Home Performances, You Have to Watch
The crew of American Idol just announced that they are planning to move forward with the rest of their season featuring at-home performances.
It is no surprise that American Idol is following in everyone’s footsteps by debuting at-home performances. During this time, there are not too many options for resuming the production of shows. American Idol decided that for their finalists, they will have to do remote performances. The judges, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, will be joining virtually along with mentor Bobby Bones and host Ryan Seacrest.

There was much debate surrounding the current season, which started February 16th, and how it would go on. The Top 40 showcase in Hawaii aired on April 5th where the judges narrowed the contestants down to 20. Fans were eager to know what would happen next and if they would be able to see the rest of the season play out. Fortunately, the show decided to start producing remotely so fans can still see their favorite contestants perform.
This is the first competition that is using the at-home filming structure. This dilemma also challenges shows such as America’s Got Talent and The Voice. Will they follow in American Idol’s footsteps? As of right now, no one knows, but it is very likely that they will.
Yes, definitely still on tv! 💙 https://t.co/TG3IhtoAhg
