Discover How Nike Is Assisting Our Healthcare Heroes Amid the Pandemic
Since the start of the pandemic, healthcare workers have been on the frontlines of saving lives for those suffering from the coronavirus.
From celebrities to funders, and organizations, they have been donating supplies and personal protection equipment to our heroes, and Nike has stepped up once again in providing relief efforts.
“In recognition of frontline healthcare workers combating COVID-19 around the world, Nike will partner with nonprofit, Good360 in the United States and local organizations across Europe to donate more than 140,000 pieces of footwear, apparel, and equipment globally” (Nike, 2020).

To help make the special announcement, Nike teamed up with professional athletes such as Olympian boxer Joshua Buatsi, Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant, Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson, Chicago Red Stars’ Casey Short, and track star Nafi Thiam to thank healthcare workers amongst others.
The athletes also assisted Nike in announcing that 30,000 pairs of Nike Air Zoom Pulse sneakers will be given to health systems and hospitals in Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis and New York City. Along with this generous donation will be an additional 2,500 pairs donated to hospitals across Barcelona, Berlin, London, Milan, Paris, and Belgium.
“Nike’s leaders, employees, the Nike Foundation and Nike have committed more than $25 million to these efforts, including $2 million in employee donations” (Nike, 2020).
