You Have to Watch the ‘Community’ Cast Reunite for Charity
The group reunited over Zoom on May 18 for a table read of Community Season 5, Episode 4: “Cooperative Polygraph.”
Led by the show’s creator Dan Harmon, the reunion featured original cast members Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Donald Glover, Joel McHale, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong. Singer Keith Slettedahl played Community‘s theme song, “At Least It Was Here,” from his band The 88. Walton Goggins could not reprise his role as Mr. Stone and was replaced by The Mandalorian‘s Pedro Pascal.
The project is part of a fundraiser for World Central Kitchen’s and Frontline Foods’ COVID-19 efforts to support healthcare workers, local restaurants, and other groups.

After the table read, the cast also participated in a Q&A session with Variety‘s Michael Schneider. They discussed their favorite memories, the new fans discovering the show on Netflix, and rumors of a Community film. “Watching it now, I’m like, ‘Oh, this show’s really punk,'” Glover shared. “We had so much fun and now I’m like, ‘I want to watch this show again, like it was brand new.'”
