Watch Tones and I’s New Music Video for Her Newest Song ‘Ur so F**King Cool’
On May 29, 2020, our favorite Australian star, Toni Watson, who goes by the pseudonym of Tones and I, has released a music video for her new song, “Ur So F**king Cool.”
You may know Tones and I by her catchy single, “Dance Monkey,” which has recently crossed 1 billion views on YouTube or by her cheeky and meaningful music videos, in which she often plays multiple characters through dress-up.

In “Ur So F**king Cool,” Tones and I sings, “no one really wants to find a genuine connect / Before they even look at you, they move on to the next / And I know that they say / ‘Don’t you worry,’ I’m the one / Then the very next day, they said they’re done.” She also continues, “Walk into a party, feeling out of place / Everyone’s too cool, everyone’s too fake.”

All of us can get caught up in the world of social media and lose the genuine human connection we can have with others. We love to convince ourselves that because someone is smiling in staged pictures, that means that their lives are perfect. They are not. Everyone’s life is far from perfect.
I am an incoming junior at the UCLA College of Letters and Science.
